St. Jude Children's Research Hospital St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly. All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay.

Below is more information on the organizations listed to the left. Locally, nationally and around the world there are many opportunities to give. Whether you are able to give of you time or money, any help is welcomed. As Mother Teresa once said, "We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."
More about... The Raining Season was founded by a local mom from Sartell, MN, Tina Schmidt. Tina has spoken at many local churches and organizations to raise awareness of the current orphanage practices in Sierra Leone, Africa. Children go days with no food and may even be sold. The Raining Season has recently opened a new orphanage in Sierra Leone, The Covering, where the children have nutrition, medical care and love. While this is a wonderful and necessary project it truly is "a drop in the ocean." Around the world 147,000,000 orphans suffer and wait for help. Join The Raining Season's mission by traveling to Sierra Leone for a humanitarian trip, sponsoring a child, sponsoring a family, or providing aid for a teen mother. Visit www.therainingseason.org for more information.
The Centracare Foundation, through engaging the philanthropic community, is able to give more than $100,000 a year in grants which improve health throughout central Minnesota. Visit http://www.centracare.com/foundation to learn more about the amazing programs that have benefited from the Foundations grants. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is near and dear to my heart. In a world where "women can have it all," sometimes it comes at the expense of having time to invest in our personal development. MOPS groups typically meet one to two times per month and allows mothers with young children to develop their leadership skills, become better mothers, and draw closer to God. Investing in a group which is raising the next generation of leaders is a sound investment.
